Yeah. I guess 5, then. I counted Bette & Dot as one due to just Sarah playing them, but you're right. It just felt like she didn't interact with anyone except Dandy the entire season

Two separate personalities, two separate characters, at least in my book. And that's because she had one scene interactions with Jimmy and Elsa and like 2-3 scenes tops with Bette and Dot. If we count Regina/Twisty, she did interact with them some but

I know, I know. They're different. It just... She's my favorite character from the season, too. Poor Queen.

I also really enjoyed Dandy as a character. I mean, I hated him as a person, but that only supports my like for him as a character. However, he started to lose steam in episode 11, and everything following felt like a non-event. He was huge in the first 9 episodes, and fantastic in them, then after his absence in episode 12, he just... didn't do much until he killed everyone, which was still one of the dumbest things to ever happen on the show.

Agreed on hating him as a person, but he was so funny I genuinely wanted him to get away with it. And him killing everyone was stupid, but Dandy IS a delusional idiot and that felt totally in character for him. Plus, I hated all the freaks so

I couldn't finish freakshow but I have hopes for Hotel based on the fact Ryan probably going to keep the gay campiness for Scream Queens and AHS is going to go back to the dark days and depending on the style influences. If it is Alfred Hitchcock/Twilight Zone influenced, I'm going to love it.

The Emmys for Outstanding Supporting Actress for Coven.
It's SO hard to choose between Angela, Kathy and Frances for that year, but I think Kathy deserved to win that one. If only Delphine had a full character arc instead of them hinting at a change and then her remaining the same for the rest of the show.
And I think everyone does a biT too much on Ethel. The accent was a bit distracting at times, but she did the most with what she had. That's all we can ask, and the veteran actors, including Kathy, almost always deliver.

do people really **** on kathy, or are they ******** on ethel?
kathy did a great job with the ****** character she was given. i'm sure she knows her character sucked hardcore, but i hope that doesn't stop her from returning to Hotel :/

SARAH is a fantastic actress, just like JESSICA is, but RYAN is not using them the best ways. So far, we've had 4 seasons of Jessica as the HBIC who smokes and slaps everyone and 3 seasons of Sarah as the down-trodden underdog that takes a beating from everyone and has her iconic scream but ends up pretty damn well in the end.
And yes, I am aware that all of Sarah's characters and all of Jessica's characters are different as people, but their roles in the grand scheme of things have been primarily the same for several seasons in a row.
All that said, Bette & Dot were a solid 8/10 in my rate, each.

Okay so everyone take this tea with a GRAIN of salt, but a user on IMDB who has provided inside information before for other TV shows wrote this about Hotel.

Jessica Lange is supposed to return for the premier and finale as the older version of Gaga's character who kicks off the new story by telling it to a few characters.
Hotel will take place in modern time and will have flash backs to the 70's and 80's.
Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Finn Wittrock, Frances Conroy, and Wes Bentley are set to return along with several new faces and big names. Jessica Lange is returning but only for 2 episodes- the first and last- as a special guest star.
