VH1 INTERVIEW
Interviewer: Hey you guys we're here with Eric Saade for an exclusive Vh1 interview, where you're getting to ask the questions. First question. You ready?
Saade: I am.
Interviewer: What was your inspiration behind this record?
Saade: I was inspired by many things while making the album. I really adored that 70s R&B sound that was out. So I made sure some of those influences could be heard in the full on R&B production. Because I wanted it to be modern but be fresh. Interestingly enough, all the songs on the album were straight modern R&B but they all kind of sounded like one long song so we ended up, me, Dev, and Solange, redoing the production for most of the songs.
Interviewer: You wrote on this album. How did you know what to write about?
Saade: I got personal with the album and when me and the co-writers and stuff were writing it, we wanted there to be good melodies and really poetic lyrics. I feel we accomplished that.
Interviewer: Not all songs recorded for an album make the album. What we want to know is how many did you record in all for the album?
Saade: I recorded about 30 songs for the album. 10 or 11 were for the pop album I scrapped, it wasn't really good anyways. And the rest were sort of sorted through and were potential songs to be on the CD.
Interviewer: Lastly, what can you spill about the collaborations on the album?
Saade: They're sick. People are going to love them.

Neon Hitch Exclusive Interview With Glam Magazine

As some of you have seen, last week the cover for Neon Hitch's issue of Glam Magazine was released, and she also has a very in depth interview inside. Here she is talking about her past, shade, and more.
On shade by peers...
Quote:
I am not a normal pop girl. Yes, I occasinally do something with a mainstream producer, but I was in the circus before and I'm not a vocal legend. I can name 3 major stars who have shaded me, people I've previously supported and such, and what do you do? Fight back? I don't see the point. My career is about music, singing, not getting into constant twitter beefs You have to move on, I'm not here to please my fellow artists, I'm here for my fans. And because I want this dream. I don't hate or ignore my fellow artists though. I love Celine, Ke$ha, Taylor, and they're truly good people.
|
On her previous label..
Quote:
To make it simple, my old label wanted me to be like the rest of the stars in 2011, and 2012. And when I had the right material (for success) Was I promoted? No. Like I said in Jailhouse, I could've been promoting my THIRD album right now. But no, they had to f**k up, and I just left. I regret nothing
|
On her childhood....
Quote:
This is a subject I don't really wanna talk about, I've actually mentioned this (in several other articles) but I was raised to be in the circus, stilt walking, fire swinging, trapeze..stuff like that, and there actually was a documentary about me before, I...might've been 12, Anyways, I had a step father, and me and my sister...were abused by him. I actually made a song (about the subject) called Black & Blue, and I'm gonna try to make it a bonus track for my new album or something. It means a lot to me.
|
On her new album...
Quote:
Ugh, I wanna reveal the title right f**king now It's not Beg Borrow & Steal, that album's cancelled but, can I? * she stops for a moment, looking at her team.* ...I can? It is NEON. Spell it all caps, properly, no caps, I don't care. My new album is called Neon and my promo better go into overdrive for it's release, it's ready sis It is a mix of extremely personal, songs about the label and my life and Amy, to songs about just not caring, like Dolla Dolla. I'm gonna release it soon, I don't know if December's a good month for it, but it's COMING OUT. Fiiiiinally. *she laughs*

On her unique style ..

JUSTIN PERFORMS AT FUSE WINTER FESTIVAL
Justin Bieber performed at the Winter festival held by Fuse, for charity -- and to spread the newest Winter music. Justin performed a medley of his 3 songs -- "I Feel It" / "Last Christmas" / "This Christmas". Vanessa Hudgens was also at the festival, and she surprised us by also performing "Last Christmas" with some of her vocals on the track. Many of the people at the event complimented how well their vocals seem to constantly merge together everytime they perform. At the festival, they also sold physical copies of "I Feel It" which go towards Bieber's charity -- "The Call To Lonely". The event was a success, and Bieber was credited for bringing a portion of the success in out of the many artists that performed. The concert was hectic during his parts on stage.

Justin goes on Jimmy Kimmel, performs.
Justin Bieber sat down on the late night TV Show, "Jimmy Kemmel" as he was the special guest of the night -- along with Ashton Kutcher. They both talked about their roles in their previous comedy blockbusters they finished, and their plans on what they were doing for Christmas. This meant talk about Justin Bieber's current album, "Christmas Weekend". Justin also praised Kutcher's comedy, and Kutcher praised Bieber's bops. They all threw in some few jokes, then to close out the show -- Justin performed, "This Christmas" on a special solo edition. He then signed some autographs for fans, took a picture with Kimmel, and promised to comeback soon. It was a pretty relaxing episode.

Taylor Performs at the "Country Music December Festival"
Taylor Swift performed at a huge Country music festival last night whoch was aired live on TV and had a internet Live Stream. Taylor's performance was great and she enjoyed the performance just as much as the crowd. After being introduced by Luke Bryan Taylor appeared on stage wearing a silky grey dress with diamonds covering it. She started her performance by singing "Sparks Fly" followed by the brand new song that she revealed last week "Backfire". At one point of Taylor's performance, Luke Bryan appeared on stage and performed his collaboration "Are You Here?" with Taylor. After the performance Taylor went backstage where a few people interviewed Taylor which was also broadcasted.
Q: SO Taylor you just finished performing at the Country Music December Festival, and you performed with Luke Bryan your brand new duet called "Are You Here?", when did you two worked together on the song?
Taylor: I wrote a big part of the song "Are You Here?" by myself and i kind of didn't have anymore inspiration to write the rest of the lyrics, so when i was back in Nashville, i met up with Luke Bryan for a small dinner and i talked to him about the song. So he finished writing the lyrics himself and we decided to make the song a duet!
Q: You released your single "Moonlight" last week, will you be releasing a new single soon?
Taylor: Yes, like really soon but you'll see when exactly!
Q: Is your album done? When can we expect getting it?
Taylor: yes, it is done and you will see when i will be releasing it just like the second single it's coming like really soon!!! I just can't wait!
Q: Is there a special someone in your life right?

Q: well thank you Taylor!
Taylor: no problem!

Selena Gomez Takes Crowd To 'Paradise' At Sun Life Stadium

Selena Gomez made her first real return to the stage. She played a sold out crowd (70,000+) and gave her traditional Beyoncé/Britney covers. She served a bit of Ru Paul, too. And she even had a "throwback" section of the show. The emotional pop star gave cute speeches and was funny and engaging. "I know all musicians say this, but my faaaaavorite part of this whole thing is nights like these. I love performing. I love connecting with you all on levels that you can't get from a song or music video. This is us. Me and you. Face to face. Do you love me Miami? Do you loooooove me?"
She gave several impromptu performances and sand little lines acapella during her little speech moments. One of the songs she covered was Mariah Carey's "It's Like That" which transitioned into "Shake It Off" which turned into "Your Girl"... and then "Side Effects" and "Thanx 4 Nothin'". Guess you could say Selena's a lamb? Look below for the full setlist (not including impromptu songs).

2. 3
3. Crown
4. The Best

Christina Aguilera visits a zoo
What a wild day for Christina, right? After she visited a radio, now she visits a zoo?! This girl is crazy tbh. Anyway, the star spent a good time there at the zoo, trying to visit every possible animal that could be seen. She liked the giraffe the most as she stayed there and photographed her a lot. She also met some of her fans and she hugged them and signed autographs or took photos. The star told the staff that it is one of the most clean and well-made zoo too.

She also performed Say Something alone which impressed her fans a lot saying that that one was the most beautiful performance. In the end, she did her #1 single Freedom which sounded like a gem. Selena Gomez stopped by Y100 right after selling out the Sun Life Stadium, making her one of four acts to sell it out twice. Think she can break the record again?
On Being Known As The "Industry Mean Girl"
Y100: So I don't know if you know this, but you sort of have a reputation of being the "industry mean girl". What do you think about that?
Selena: Oh my god, I heard about that! I'm not a bitch, am I?
Y100: No, you're a sweetheart.
Selena: See! I think it comes from the fact that I'm competitive. I'm assertive. Music, while a great thing, is a competition. I like to let these girls know "I want to be #1. I want to be the best. And I will be." What bothers me is how no one gets on the men about stuff like this.
Y100: What do you mean?
Selena: For example, Kendrick Lamar put out the Control verse and no one criticized him for it. The purpose of it was to put the competition back in Hip-Hop. And that's what I'm doing it. Music is a competition, that I want to win. And everyone wants to be so buddy buddy. Like, no. I'm here for unity among women, but at the same time I still wanna be the front runner.
Y100: I respect that. Cause to be honest, we don't have many females out there who are as ambitious and hungry for the title as someone like Kendrick.
Selena: Exactly! Because who do we have doing that right now? We have Beyonce. Like with Bow Down. And me. But that's it. Why let all the boys have all the fun? And then us [the girls] are just supposed to sit back and look cute. Well some of us look cute.
Someone In The Background: SHAAAAAAAAAADE
Selena: Stop! *laughs* Gonna get me in trouble. But the point is, if men get to brag and be 'bout it without criticism, I should be too. So if that makes me the "mean girl", fine. I'll be that.
Where Her Inspiration For Fool's Paradise Came From
Y100: So a few days, you come out with this album that didn't have a release date and it's totally different from your last albums. What inspired that?
Selena: Sonically, like music wise.. the Beyonce album. But with more of an indie sound. I like what she did, with the urban and indie. I took inspiration from all over. Bey & Lana, primarily. I also liked Colbie Caillait's stuff and incorporated elements of that into my music.
Putting The "3"s Up
Y100: So tell us what it means to Put The 3's Up.
Selena: Well 3's is just a hand sign. You take your index, middle and ring finger and put them together and hold em up. The palm of your hand faces you while the back of it faces the direction you're looking in.
Y100: So is this a gang sign?
Selena: Noooo! It's just a cute lil hand sign!
Y100: So what's 3?
Selena: It's my lucky number. And it's D's jersey number. It's a good number!

Lena performs at NBA All-Stars Halftime show
Lena got an opportunity to perform at the NBA's All-Stars Halftime show, which was held in one of the biggest arena's in LA - Nokia Theatre. Lena performed her new and the latest single In The Light, alongside with dancers and the whole live band with her. Lena's performance was really cool, she appeared on the big white platform in the middle of the stage, and that platform was also used for her American Music Awards, on this Sunday. On that platform, all the time, Lena was just dancing around, enjoying the moment and doing the best she can. Her voice was good during this performance, she did everything she could, but everything in the end ended up perfectly. Lena did an amazing performance, which received a lot of positive reviews and opinions.
