No, because both are Soundscan recorded tracking reports. Also, when you look at all the CDs/Digital Albums that reached one 1 million sales in one week, and compare that to singles where CITW 97 is still the only single to sell 1 million records in a week (it did so twice), it's somewhat strange nothing came into the 3.4-3.5 million range until Adele's 25. We agree most of the time on here Friday, but here our opinions diverge significantly.

Adele's release did in fact boost all CD/Digital Album Sales, which normally wouldn't have happened until a week later (Black Friday week), and even then on a significantly smaller level.
