Someone should do a Tina Turner vs. Joan Jett vs. Janis Joplin (with their respective lastest greatest hits albums)
Leading Ladies Of Rock rate
I think a legend like Anna Mae Bullock deserves her own rate.
Which leads me to ask - should the stuff Tina did with Ike be allowed into the Tina Turner rate? Proud Mary v. River Deep, Mountain High v. What's Love Got to Do With It for the top three would be INTENSE.
Legendary, went to number three on the country charts. Of course!
So, here are the rates on the docket
There You'll Be - The Faith Hill Rate will become ... Ultimate Kylie: A Tribute to the Queen
Watch His Throne - The Kanye West Rate will become ... Let It Be: The Beatles Single Rate
Living Life Like It's Golden becomes ... Battle of the Small Voices
Country at a Crossroads becomes ... Hip-Hop Genius - MBDTF/TMoLH/SB/TLB
Obviously, this leaves room for both Keir and Duca/Yourfavefan's rates to start around the same time, plus genetic fail's New Wave rate. So, we'll all covered!
Just a reminder.
So, next week should see:
2008 Mega Rate
Hip-Hop Genius
Battle of the Small Voices
Watch His Throne
There You'll Be
Ultimate Disney Girls
all either running or starting, Exciting! We're also getting things together for the UK:TttQ rate.
Why haven't the Kanye/Faith Hill rates started yet
I believe Jake Kills was trying to get more voters, although a small turnout is fine (and would be preferable to the avalanche of voters the blockbuster rates receive).
Let's talk about The Beatles' Singles Rate. I need two things:
1. Suggestions on what songs to include. The 27 from 1 are all pretty much givens, but I have no idea what to use for the remaining 13 (?) (23?) They released a staggering amount of singles.
2. Also, would someone possibly do me a MASSIVE favor and make me a graphic for the rate? I'm honestly incapable of doing it myself. Any help at all would be hugely appreciated.
