Also, the director literally said: "It allows people to make up their own mind of what it means." Much of the movie was left ambiguous for you to form your own thoughts on, especially the ending.

Stop what? You are such a try hard in every way possible on this forum, it's no surprise that you're trying to discredit a SIMPLE metaphor just to look edgy and above it.

We finally get a horror movie with some depth to it in the midst of recycled paranormal trash and torture **** and most of this forum can't even process it. So many horror fans have been conditioned to deem a horror movie ineffective if the ending isn't spelled out for them and here we have something challenging that. It breaks almost every rule in the book. Thankfully critics and movie enthusiasts have some critical thinking skills and see the movie for the greatness that it is.

I just watched It Follows and it kinda let me down, not exactly what I was thinking/expecting and hate those kind of endings. I still have hope for Unfriended, Insideous 3 and The Clown tho.

Poltergeist was really good. Some bad acting and unintentional hilarious moments but it was beautifully shot, scored, and had an epic final act. 7.5/10, maybe an 8.

Unfriended is so bad I saw it in theatres the night it came out and there were people laughing in the theatre at how bad it was. Its also predictable because it's just the typical teen slasher movie formula
