Kate Boy is great but their songs are a bit same-y. But the good songs are really good, heard Northern Lights yet?
Northern Lights was OK I guess. The only songs I've really liked on the album so far are Human Engine and Higher. (I'm currently on Higher.)
I just think their sound is so... Passé? Like it's been done so many times before, and better? And none of the hooks are strong enough to really carry the songs.

Most of their songs were released in 2012/13, so it sounded kinda fresh back then, they only released a full album in 2015

My friend has been trying to get me to listen to them for years so maybe I would've liked them more when the songs were new. You can definitely tell, though.
This is seriously what's hurting them right now. Thankfully Adele hasn't released the official video for WWWY yet but I'm worried it'll peak too early on radio.
Selena isn't even being strategic about her singles, she just drops videos whenever.
