Finally finished Freakshow

Despite what people have said about it, I actually really loved this season. I agree it was a little slow at times, but it reminded me quite a lot of Asylum, because of how dark it was. Jessica was brilliant as always, it was nice to see her playing a more serious character, as her roles (Constance and Fiona) normally provide comic relief. Elsa was actually really quite a tragic character and despite her flaws I kinda liked her. I thought Emma was good also! . My current rating is

Asylum > Coven > Freakshow > Murder House

Asylum will always be my favorite. None of the other series have kept me as gripped as that one. And Lily Rabe as Sister Mary Eunice is SO damn good.

I defiantly think for series 5 it will need a complete reinvention. I hope they take the best aspects of each series and put it into one.

I'm at episode 10 because I wanted to give the show a second chance. nnnnn I loved Gabourey's character, every damn line of her DELIVERED, every word she spit I just couldn't stop laughing, the way she talks in this season, the intonation, kills me
Can anybody answer me what was the deal with Maggie's mate's D? He said "I don't have half a d" and I understood that he has micropenis, but the way Dell looked at it wasn't the way Dell would look at a micropenis, idk, and that twink at the first episodes called it "excalibur" so I'm confused
I get the feeling that Dandy is going to be killed before the season finale in the most stupiest way just to have a "hah, bet you think he was the big bad!" plot twist, the twins death will have nothing to do with the fact that they're twins and the D man's D will be exposed to everyone in a bottle like Rasputin.

I recently rewatched Coven, it really was a fantastic season. It just had a really dull final two episodes, the finale was pretty uneventful and boring at times...but as a whole it was great.

I also recently rewatched Coven and I agree. It is my second favourite season after Asylum.

Also, I honestly don't really get how Freakshow was 'dark and depressing' as many people describe it. Sure it deals with dark storylines but I feel like it is no where near as dark as Asylum. I binge watched Asylum in a few days and honestly it was almost too disturbing at times.

Oh and I need Lily Rabe in season 5 so much. She killed her cameo in Freakshow.

Same, its kinda tied with Murder House as my second favorite season behind Asylum.

I agree, I didn't find Freakshow THAT dark...especially compared to Asylum. Everything about Asylum is dark and depressing.

I just really hope that the writers know that this season was weak, identify what made it weak, and aim to do those things right this time around. That's the magic of this show, they get to start from scratch every year
