that all depends...if she does a PUK type thing where the production makes it seem happy then nope
But she doesn't really career and this will not damage the publics view...this has happened to rihanna twice and look at her now

After seeing the controversy that sparked in that thread, I'd love for it to be on the album but I have to agree, it's just a bit too much right now. It's not the kind of controversy she needs imo.

Rihanna has a heavy image. It's easier for her to get away with such things. I don't think it'll do much to her either though.

I doubt any would be that offended over this song (well beside the title that some can find disrespectful toward Princess Diana) considering a lot of big hits recently were much more "violent" and more of "bad influences" (LTWYL, Grenade, Pumped Up Kicks ect.) They just love to bitch about Gaga and everything she does.

Yeah I saw some older prudes upset about the name. They feel it's way too disrespectful.
I wonder if Gaga will find some way to leverage her AC/Hot AC connections she created with TEOG and You & I? The Elton duet maybe, but it would flop on top 40.

Exactly. Pumped Up Kicks is a "violent" song that hit the Top 3, and had very strong airplay. The children heard it, nobody complained
