2) Beyonce's "artiste" shtick is hella contrived (even more contrived than some of the things Gaga has done) because everyone with three brain cells knows she's not smart enough to pull off half the things her prized team of white men have done for her. Just because the public is eating it up doesn't mean it's impressive.
