I didn't care for high school, but like compared to university the workload was nothing. I often wonder what it would have been like if I had the same work ethic I have now when I was in high school

I used to complete most of my homework at school. But tbh high school is a total jokes if you know how to take advantage of it. Which is probably one thing I like about college, I'm actually being challenged. But of course some things are total BS like my uni math and science department.

This. I think I would be more "actively learning" in high school if my classes were more spread out and not like 7+ hours straight. I was able to manage 70% of my total schoolwork by just looking at handouts and textbooks. Most the remaining 30% come from asking the teacher for help 1-on-1 (which was pretty easy since students don't really like to approach the teacher.)

Well, I wanted to get a job at the mall because it's close and the only thing there is retail or working at a restaurant and I am NOT about that life

Or I could get an internship but I need that $$$$

Or I could do some independent project which is what I'll probably end up doing because work and school sounds like waaaaay too much

I haven't done a restaurant so I don't know which one is better, but honestly a restaurant sounds a lot harder but a lot more interesting. A lot of retail is just waiting for like two people to come in who will inevitably say they don't want any help so then you just go back to staring at the wall

omg i remember when i would give up on high school assignments when i thought i had too much work, like one 3 page paper or a powerpoint god i wish i'd realized how easy i had it then, i could've gotten great grades if i put in as much effort as i put into college now

In general, it's the customers that get to you sometimes. And occasionally the backstabbing co-workers and gossiping management that overlooks you for promotions.
