It's actually what I was expecting from this album at first. I love it, but after that leak of the songs supposedly for this album (JFK, BB, Hollywood, AFFA, Starry Eyed) I thought she was going for a more 80's movie, driving soundtrack sound and I think G&R goes well with those!
Yes..... It is definitely VERYYYY slow, but the way they used her vocals to create a chorus within her voice, it's insane how breathtaking her voice sounds in all the songs! This album has some flaws, but that's what is making this album so perfect. I can't say yet if it's better than BTD, but this one has MUCHHHH more depth! And ****ing "Florida Kilos" slays!!!
but "Black Beauty" and "Brooklyn Baby" are by far the standouts for me, and of course the epic "Florida Kilos"..
The chorus thing sounds amazing I can't wait to listen to it in full after my finals.

Correct me i'm wrong but I read somewhere that for The Great Gatsby, the producers were choosing between Old Money and Young and Beautiful for the song and ended up choosing Young and Beautiful.

It has the feel of all those songs so surprising so few like it.
