Well it will be dangerous, Like remember what happened during the TBDT era, Avril tried something new but fans hated it. But yeah Avril have accumulated a bunch of arrogant obnoxious fans during Let GO and UNDER MY SKIN era and those fans are the one who left Avril during TBDT era.

Its not really about the talent, people no longer care about talent, its more of her image, I mean, I already stopped caring for charts and sales because I already accepted the fact that no matter what kind of music Avril does, no matter how high the quality of her next album, people will just ignore it because its from Avril. As long as she makes the music that I love and continue to care about her fans, I am happy.
However, yes I believe that Avril will regain her glory, other artists have bad eras and they come back better than ever, if other artists can do it, why Avril can't? perhaps she got the beauty and the talent.
Regarding with genres, like what I said, It doesn't really matter by now because people will complain no matter what kind of music does.
