And the last Kalos rep falls. Valerie is a model, designer, pokémon enthusiast and Gym Leader of Laverre City. Her design is a little cute, certainly not enough to justify Top 20 though. She's obsessed with beautiful things and her gym has a cute aesthetic, but it's just a reskin of Saffron City Gym, which was super basic gen 1 mechanics already. She is the first and only fairy-type gym leader, which is still more than dark type has. Too high for me.

Abyssy stans for her "(vegan) mascara and hair extensions", reminding him of himself. Staryu calls her a "fairy empress" and says she's serving "Courtney Act realness". I dodn't remember Courtney ever looking like a demon possessed freak. 8thPrince just bluntly says "bug-eyed bitch", which is really what we were all thinking.

They should've made Valerie a much harder gym leader, especially with introducing a new type. Give her an Azumarill, Clefable, even a Mega Mawile. But like with all the gym leaders of that region, they all suck. It also doesn't help that they made the exp share OP.
