Lifetime network has purchased the rights to Beyonce's thriller Obsessed along with two other Sony films for broadcast on their network, starting in 2011!
The total deal for the rights is estimated at 30 million....so Beyonce's film is not only a big box office hit versus its cost,is a big hit on DVD already, now it is making even MORE money for Sony pictures......that is how a REAL DIVA WORKS IT!! Party Party
Congrats to Bee for showing some OTHER people how it is done!! that means you, Nia Long!
This shows her box office clout....that Lifetime thinks her film is potent enough with their audience that they would pay that much and show Obsessed OVER and OVER and OVER! Lifetime has HUGE number of reshowings of their film library....some titles have been shown LITERALLY HUNDREDS of time!

Lifetime Networks has acquired exclusive basic cable rights to three Sony pics: the drama "Obsessed" and summer comedies "The Ugly Truth" and "Julie & Julia," which opens Friday.
The three films are slated for a TV premiere in 2011 on Lifetime and Lifetime Movie Network.
Details on the deal were not disclosed, but the license fee for the three movies is said to be tied to their boxoffice performance and is expected to land in the $20 million-$30 million range depending on the final tally for "Truth" and "Julia."
Nora Ephron's "Julia," which stars Meryl Streep as famed TV chef Julia Child and Amy Adams as a woman who blogs about preparing her recipes, is eyeing a $20 million opening weekend.
Robert Luketic's romantic comedy "Truth" debuted with $27.6 million and has grossed $60 million to date. It stars Katherine Heigl of ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" whose reruns also air on Lifetime.
The Beyonce Knowles-starring thriller "Obsessed" amassed $68.3 million in its boxoffice run in the spring.
Although mostly known for its original made-for-TV movies, Lifetime also has a library of female-oriented features, including "Bridget Jones's Diary," "Bend It Like Beckham," "Because I Said So," "Beauty Shop," "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" and "You've Got Mail."
