Tegan and Sara - "Youth" iTunes update!



After less than 24 hours on iTunes, 'Youth' has already reached the top 10 in Canada and the UK and top 20 in the US, New Zealand, Australia and Singapore! It is also currently sitting in the top 5 of all these countries iTunes Alternative Charts.

We caught Tegan outside of NME's head office in London this morning and she commented on the current iTunes positions saying, "We're very pleased with how the song is doing so far, considering we've just started spreading the word and it hasn't even been out for a day! Our fans are so dedicated and supportive, we couldn't be happier." Isn't she sweet!

Our bets are that there might be even more in the game for the angsty synth pop song after Tegan and Sara perform it for the first time tonight on Later with Jools Holland! We're anxious to see if it can crack the UK iTunes top 5 with such a big performance slot as well as continuous support from Radio 1, who has put the song on heavy rotation since yesterday evening.

Stockholm, 24.07 - The European superstar Loreen just announced her new single 'Breaking' will be out on 28.07. It's her first single under the Roc Nation label and the lead single of her TBA second album. She didn't give us more info on the single although she posted some lyrics on her twitter which are probably lyrics from 'Breaking'. We contacted Loreen and here is what she said to us:
-I'm super excited for this release. Not that it's only my lead single from my second album but it's also my first song with Roc Nation. They have great team and we had exciting time working on this. More details will come in the upcoming 4 days.

Also from our sources we have learned that Loreen will travel to the USA in the next week to promote 'Breaking'. She is rumoured to perform on a few shows and do some interviews. We will keep you in touch with her!
