What about them? They've both grown as artists. Do you think if Rihanna was still making dancehall music and Katy making pop-rock they'd be as massive as they are now? This song's a regression to the late 90's/early 2000's, she's trying to satisfy a fan base that loves to hate on her. She has plenty of good urban tracks on PFRR, but she ditched them for this.
I really wanted to support her for taking a more urban direction again, but this isn't the way to do it.
