Erika Jayne is doing this not to brand herself as a legitimate dance pop artist. This is the part where Beth is being shady.
she's 44.

She's doing this so that she isn't some rich man's wife that stays at home and is bored etc.

She's doing it to have fun and feel empowered. Not do be a serious artist that needs tips on how to break into the scene this late in the game

Bethenny guested on RHOBH to make a splash and who could she go after but Erika? She knew she had to stir trouble up but she couldn't target any of the other ladies because they're all her real friends (minus Eileen, who is friends with Bethenny's friends so she was safe too.) It was so evident the moment she looked at Erika's Instagram that she was planning to attack her.

She's extremely smart so she had the wherewithal to pepper in compliments about Erika being pretty, etc so that later she could claim she was just "keeping it real" and that it wasn't personal nor an attack.

I'm not buying into her career but I'm also not a know it all who knows little like Bethenney in not understanding the main thing:

erika is not trying to be a pop star for which bethenney's advice would be warranted.

She's simply a down to earth bad azz rich woman that doesn't want to spend her time shopping all day. instead, she is empowered by showing her bad girl alter ego for fun.

She's not trying to make millions. She has millions. She wants to have fun and show that she can be the wife and the mistress at the same time and without needing to do it for money.
the other girls are bothered because they had to work really hard to get where they were and still less wealthy.
She was a cocktail waitress that fit the bill for her husband and she's still has an opinion and is not just a trophy wife

yep and she made the point to call erika smart because erika is confident enough to not let bethenney's comments get to her and was serving them right back for which bethenney then started backing down.

I guess it's just something you have to know with experience.
To me it's very clear what Erika is doing and why and that she's not doing to to be a new pop star.
