I think I've encountered like 6 in my entire time playing Pokemon, which is like fifteen years....

They were all on the same Pokemon Pearl too. My first one I caught was a Shiny Ponyta, this one day where I wanted to stay home to play Pokemon was REALLY sick so did not go to school.

WAIT. I just thought of something. I was hoping that with these megalutions Mawile/Ampharos could still hold eviolites (since it IS an evolution, just a different way.) But what would happen if they COULD get eviolites?

Imagine Mewtwo, Lucario and Blazikens with eviolites everywhere. WHAT WOULD UBERS DO ABOUT EVIOLITE MEWTWO.

Although maybe Mewtwo wouldn't get Eviolite since it is a legendary anyway

Serious question everyone. Should a get a normal 3DS or 3DSXL. Is there notable distortion on the XL?

I had the same concerns, but get the XL. DS games get slightly blurrier with the extra screen size, but it's not enough to be terribly bothersome and some argue it actually looks better due to the XL screen itself (it's, I believe, higher quality hardware). And worst case, you can hold start and select when you boot up a game to boot it at its native resolution (so you'll have a smaller box on your screen, but perfect detailing).

For actual 3DS games the XL has no downsides. XY will look flawless on it.

Thanks Much for the advice. I only want to play 3DS games on my 3DS, so i mayaswell get the XL.

If you don't have either of them yet just get an XL. It is obviously much better and it's not too much more expensive than the regular 3DS as far as I know.

What Parks said. And the 3DS XL battery life >>>. It'll normally last 5-6 hours longer than my friends regular ones and the 3D looks better but I doubt you'll use that alot because Nintendo made that mess too straining but one dial up is perf. Also the storage >>>. You can easily buy a new SD card but if you want something now the XL is the best bet. Oh and most XLs come with a Mario game so you get a free game with ease.
