I totally believe you. I actually think a lot of the Katycat predictions were either very conservative or cautiously optimistic. Most said 300k or so. I never saw any outlandish predictions.

240K for Katy is not low by all means when that is exactly her 2 previous albums' first week sales combined (47K+192K)
so I'm extremely happy for 240K++

? It's not gonna increase by that much if the initial predictions were under 300k. The 68% correlates to retailers recorded, it's not directly the amount of copies it sold opening week.
