Even during the press for 25, she kind of implied that she was forced to do music again. So much momentum was lost after Hello because of a poor follow up * which tbh is my favorite record on the cd, but a bad choice for obvious reasons* and lack of interest from Adele who clearly would rather be a mother to her child. I say all that to say the video is boring as hell. The is song is cute but Water Under The Bridge was the better choice. I just feel like something is missing from Send My Love. It just doesn't have that Max Martin magic.

Be disappointed in the era all you wish, that's your own prerogative, but do not put words in Adele's mouth.
For example, in i-D:

For a while, it felt like this moment was never gonna come 'cause I couldn't access myself to write a record. So I'm super chuffed and really proud of the songs. I'm ******** myself about it all, but it will be exciting. [..] I'd like to tour properly. I'd like to see Britney in Vegas. Dunno about more kids. Maybe after what Xavier said, I'll go into acting… I'd like to make another record, I'd like to be able to stand the test of time and the speed that the world is moving. I'd like to make records forever with the time I've been given for this one. If I can do that I'll be really ****ing happy.

She of course puts her son ahead of her career--she said so live on air on the Today show, and has across various interviews talked about experiencing guilt for leaving him to do writing sessions etc. as well as significant changes in her writing process and state of mind in general. At the same time, however, she's also frequently recognized that music is something she does for herself, it's what she's good at, and that she always planned to go back to work for years forward.
Furthermore, it's a bit ridiculous to say she lacks interest in the era when she's currently doing roughly 4 shows a week on the biggest tour of her career thus far in support of it...
