If you're saying the results are based solely on teenage girls, then that is even better for Rihanna. This song is probably one of her most male-friendly singles. I wouldn't underestimate the song. Rude Boy was being called a flop because it hung around the 70s on iTunes for awhile. Obviously they were wrong.
honestly .. i didn't expect rockstar 101 to do much after american idol anyway because it was out of the top 1000 on itunes and one performance wasn't gonna make it jump into the top 10 and stabilize ..
i think when the video is released .. depending on if it slays .. then it'll do fine along with its airplay ..
and anyway .. her performing on american idol was for her tour and maybe to help the song a little ..
but i wouldn't count it out just yet because as someone else has been saying .. rockstar 101 did make a higher peak on itunes by just being played on gossip girl than on american idol so maybe something else will help ..

I know (including me ). GG mainly appeals to teenage girls while iTunes appeals to all teens, male & female.
Basically, male teens haven't even generally been exposed the song yet. I know (being in high school) that almost no teenage guys watch idol. By far one of their smallest demographics.
