I get what she's trying to convey but Bey is a bad example to use. Beyonce always shows interest in others' performances at award shows and there are hordes of clips on youtube ti prove it. When Bruno Mars performed at the MET Gala in 2012, Andre Leon Talley said the best part of the night was Beyonce jamming on her feet thruout his set.

If u hate Beyonce, at least hate her for what she actually is not the fabrications you project onto her.

Not really sure I'm understanding because for one Bey isn't the type to sit front row at anyones concert, not even her husbands. She always sits in the cut or backstage so to say that about her is false. As for the LGBT community cheering each other on and being close and whatnot, idk who she knows but a good majority of people in this community aren't even here for each other and constantly wants to get rid of certain factions of it so...

And another thing, Miley was only using Katy and Beyonce as an EXAMPLE!! She didn't mean that bey personally thinks she's too damn good to support/applaud her peers; but that most artists think/are this way. The hive knows bey shows love to her peeps. Two random examples: After the Grammys (2007), where she only attended as a spectator/awardee; she was asked about the show and she said, "I loved it! Shakira with Wyclef Jean and The Police were my favorites". At the 2013 Grammys she was seen giving Carrie Underwood a standing ovation after her performance and she stood up and clapped (along with Kelly Clarkson, Adele, and several others) when Carrie won a Grammy that night. Sis I love you but no. Bey was the first/only celeb to wish gaga a happy birthday during the artpop era. and she doesn't do that for any of her other peers. She ALWAYS wishes gaga a happy birthday on social media and gets her a present. Remember when gaga said she and bey ate In N Out for her bday in 2012? Also, bey wished legends Aretha Franklin & Diana Ross a happy birthday as well because their birthdays are in March (like Gaga's). So gaga got a special bday shout out from bey along with 2 legends. She may not have said a damn thing about artpop and that's fine because she didn't trash the album, trash gaga, or betray her like so many other people did. Bey at least remembered her birthday and gave her a shoutout while everyone else continued to ignore gaga and pay her dust.

People posting videos of their faves standing up and saying that their faves praise others. That's not what she's talking about at all.

What she is talking about is how when you go to a gay bar for a drag show, everyone goes crazy and shows whoever is on stage a massive amount of love and support. That doesn't happen with pop girls. Yes, they clap for one another. Yes, they stand up when they need to. But that's all for show and to be polite. None of our faves support each other all that much, they all have egos too big to allow them to do that.

Well, yeah I kind of agree, award shows are pretty phony. The artists will be cordial and clap, but usually don't go out of their way to attend each others concerts and whatnot. At the same time they shouldn't be obligated to either.
