The religious references were creative and interesting in the past, but now that everyone is doing it for views and controversy, it seems like a gimmick and I'd think Kanye would want to do something more innovative. This is now his second album in a row with a pretentious religious title. The whole "I'm a God" gimmick got old real fast, at least for me.
My comment about drake isn't related to the religious comment I made. "So Help Me God" just sounds like a Drake album title to me, and I was getting Drake vibes from Kanye's flow on "All Day".
and there is a big difference between a song like Jesus Walks and a song like I Am A God. Both have religious references, but they literally have nothing in common. Jesus Walks isn't pretentious, narcissistic trash. I'll pay anyone on this site 10 million dollars if there is a song with religious elements on this album that isn't about Kanye's ego.

God, the creator of all, made us in his image.
Kanye, in "I Am A God", is saying that he too is a creator... We all are creators... We are all "gods".
It isn't an ego thing and it isn't a gimmick.
That's the point he was trying to make and you not understanding/not taking the time to understand seems to prove to me that you are letting your biases get the best of you. He's been pretty creative with his religious imagery so far this decade imo. Yet, there are people like you (and many of the people following the announcement of Yeezus) who just jump the gone and say "Damn, that black man is ****ing crazy. **** him for dissing God and Christianity!! Get him up out of here!!!" Y'all don't even try to understand why he called it that...
That message, mixed with the empowering production found within the song and all of Yeezus, is why the album is so great. He made an incredible statement.
