Good luck y'all. What children really need are two (or even one) loving parent(s), the gender doesn't matter. I only had a Dad and I'm happy about it.

^It's a bank holiday in the UK this weekend so people have Monday off work so it's not shocking that flights are full tomorrow. I do hope everyone that can vote really tries.

I live rural Ireland and it's very hard to say what way it will go here. The 'No' campaigners have spammed every single town, every village, every roundabout, every busy road, every road sign and every telephone pole with their non-nonsensical and ignorant posters. And it seems like quite a few people are actually believing their propaganda. Plus of course you have the church trying to indoctrinate people as well.

Dublin and the East will hopefully win it for the Yes side, because it does seem to be a bit of a mixed bag in the countryside.

At least some sympathetic priests have asked for a Yes. They say the Chuch needs to get with the times or continue hemorrhaging attendees. Let's hope enough people in those congregations listened.

Californian gays already had adoption rights by the time our ban was on the ballot and the religious folk still screamed think of the children they had nothing else to use as a fear tactic. I hope Ireland doesn't fall for it.

The question is whether they want marriage extended to gay couples so it's not a ban. If they pick No in the end they can try again in the future. All the Irish atrlers I've come across have said they are voting Yes. General public could be another matter though. We'll know tonight what the turnout was and they will start counting the Yes and No.
