Paramore doing BIG in the UK:

Paramore look set to score their first UK number one album this Sunday, with their new set Brand New Eyes (Fueled By Ramen) leading its nearest competitor by around 8,000 units according to early retail reports.

That competitor is Madonna’s greatest hits set Celebration (Warner Bros), which topped the albums charts last Sunday. It sold around 15,700 units yesterday, to Brand New Eyes’ 23,500.

I'm impressed with Paramore, but even more impressed with Breaking Benamin. I'm borderline shocked that they are keeping up with (and at least for now actually beating) the competition. Then my shock went up even more when I saw someone post that Paramore will likely be #1 in the UK. I'm still thinking Mariah will pull it off it in the US with physical sales, but I'm going to hold out hope for any other possible result.

She's doing several appearances in the upcoming weeks. And she did do a couple shows at the Palms. Mariah's star power will overpower her label's dumb decisions.
