It's a long story! I really hated the song at first, mainly because Lady GaGa was now everywhere, and everyone knew her, and she was humongously famous for one song, "Just Dance," and I was already sick of her, so I just wasn't interested. Then when I actually heard the song on the radio, to me, it sounded exactly like "Just Dance." That made me hate it even more. In my mind I was thinking, this chick can't even make a different song. She's gonna be a one hit wonder, and I hope this flops. It sounds exactly like "Just Dance." People are going to get tired of that sound real quickly. (Well, see how wrong I was about that. However, it seems I was generally right when it comes to Cascada's "Evacuate the Dancefloor"...) Anyways, so I went through about a month or two, just watching it zoom up the charts and being really pissed. She then went and performed it on
American Idol. I really couldn't stand the performance, especially the first minute of it. (It was also my parents' first time seeing GaGa. You sohlud've seen their faces!

) However, after the performance, the next day, I found myself humming the song. About a week later, I broke down and downloaded the song from iTunes. I did start to play it here and there, but then the unthinkable happened. EVERYONE in school knew and LOVED the song. Everywhere I went, people were talking about Lady GaGa and "Poker Face." It got to be way too much for me. Of course, our station followed suit and started whoring more than they've ever *****d any song. It just got to be too much exposure of GaGa. (Especially when you're also a member on Pulse and ATRL!) I stopped playing the song altogether, and started hating it again. I couldn't believe that I had actually broke down and bought the song. It finally engulfed me. I was mad at myself, because I was able to make it through "Stars Are Blind" fiasco unscaved, and it was tough, but I also made it through "All Summer Long's" clutches as well. I also battled, but came out unharmed during the "Burnin' Up" disaster, and to be taken down by "Poker Face!" No. I just couldn't. So of course I was skeptical on "LoveGame," but I checked it out, and fell in love. "LoveGame," in my opinion, deserved "Poker Face's" fame.

So after losing the skepticism, I tried out the rest of the album. I really don't like anything else on it, but it wouldn't surprise me to actually like one of them if they were to be played on the radio a lot.
It's not like I hate "Poker Face," it's just that it got too much to deal with, and I already disliked the song to begin with, then to actually like it for a few weeks, right before the country fell in love, it was very quickly off my mind. If it's on the radio, I'll listen to it and sing or hum along. It's an okay song, but I can only take so much of it. (I also like listening to it so I can get a good laugh of how it sounds like she says "**** her face.")
