54. SBTKRT - Wonder Where We Land

SBTRKT's sophomore album was not looked upon kindly by the critics, and honestly I can see why. It's a ton more ambitious than his eponymous debut. There are tons of concepts pushed throughout, and honestly a lot of them aren't consistent enough to make this feel like a coherently thought out story. But the album is also a lot more adventurous musically, and I enjoy the bigger and more diverse list of collaborators, musical directions he took, and overall the flow of the album (the best songs are all spread out evenly). If you like UK Garage/Pop crossovers you'll definitely find some stuff you like on this release.
53. Homeshake - In the Shower

Lo-Fi is a hard genre to stand out in. It's easy to get lost among the homogenous pool of artists that make Lo-Fi folk/Rock/Electronic leading recordings, but for whatever reason this Homeshake record stood out to me. All the songs have really intimate, personal feelings to them and give the listener some nice simple sing-songy hooks (of course, the lyrics are completely intelligible). Definitely an album I could take a bubble bath to.
