Sorry The National is my 3rd favorite band but I fail to see their influence.
On the bright side, they are extremely underrated so Im glad they made the list, even though, it's a crappy list.

I'm guessing you're the dance pop type.
I know quite a bit about music, thank you very much. More than the average person, at the very least. So for me to be saying I've never heard of some of these acts... Makes me question how many of these names a person not part of NME's demographic would actually recognize.
And I listen to mostly country and pop, but I dabble in alternative and rock from time to time.
Madonna, Beyonce? Gaga? Even Rihanna probably deserves a spot in here even if its a low one.

This is truly a flop list. Rihanna definately deserves to be on this list and actually quite high because NEVER has a pop star influenced the fashion industry as Rih has and to be honest, the closest to do that is probably . .hmmmm. . . no one.
