I swear MBDTF is the most overrated album of all time. I would definitely put in on a list of biggest albums, but no where near the top. What made everyone kiss this albums ass is the production and visuals surrounding the album. The lyricism is so weak on it and that's the most important part in a hip-hop album. I hate that Kanye gets away with extremely weak lyrics as a rapper just because he overpowers/hides lyrical weakness with strong and power production. So many better rappers that don't get enough credit. Kanye actually has albums that literally trend-set changes in the music industry and influenced many musicians, MBDTF isn't one of them. Also, the fact that the article starts by saying that any Kanye album could've topped the list, but no other album of his is in the Top 20 makes this list a joke.

This list is clearly solely based on Impact and not quality.

So its a great album is what youre getting at right? So why fume over the fact that it topped the list....atleast you acknowledge that its great just by saying that one statement. Everything else you said is pretty much moot.

So because I think it's a great album that means I can't disagree that it's the best album of the last 14 years? That illogical. I refuse to accept that MBDTF is praised above albums like "The College Dropout" and "Late Registration" which literally shaped mainstream hip-hop for the 2000s and on.

Just stop with the shade that's already been brought up a few pages back. This list looks like a typical music critic's list more than anything. It shouldn't surprise anyone that Rihanna is missing since she doesn't have a totally consistent, universally acclaimed album. The closest she's come is Rated R but even that doesn't have the metascore and the acclaim to play with the albums on the list.
