Reeces' Best Of '08: Top 30 Albums (23-21)
23. Donnie Klang - Just A Rolling Stone
Released: September 2nd
Genre: R&B, Dance Pop
Producer: Diddy (executive)
Channel 7, Mario Winans, Tricky Stewart, The-Dream, Soul Diggaz, Young Boyz, Danja, The Clutch, Jack Knight, Antwan "Amadeus" Thompson, The Fliptones, Jim Beanz
US Billboard 200: #19
The next entry comes from another Bad Boy artist. Donnie competed for a spot in Day26, but because he was a fan favorite ultimately received a solo deal, sadly his popularity didn't reflect on his sales. I gotta admit that I was actually really looking forward to this album, I was curious to see the ending result. The album feature a few catchy tracks, like second single Dr. Love, track that could've been huge if it would've been promoted well or Hollywood Girl. The album is also filled with club tracks, Hurt That Body and Not A Love Song, to mention a few. Overall, the album was a great debut album, but it's such a shame that he didn't get promoted well, blame Diddy for this one again.

22. Duffy - Rockferry
Released: May 13th
Genre: Soul
Producers: Bernard Butler, Steve Booker, Jimmy Hogarth
US Billboard 200: #4
Worldwide sensation Duffy is up next. I was blown away where I first heard Mercy, it is just so different from everything out there right now. Then second single Warwick Avenue got released, and I knew I had to give this album a listen. I can see why she gets compared to Amy Winehouse, their voices are similar but their styles are absolutely different. Her voice is just beautiful and slow tempo tracks like Rockferry and Hanging On Too Long make it shine even more. The retro production is amazing and makes the album even more unique. Duffy is one of my favorite new acts this year, and I'm sure this is not the last we will hear from her.

21. Ferras - Aliens & Rainbows
Released: April 1st
Genre: Pop
Producers: The Matrix
US Billboard 200: N/A
Singer/songrwriter Ferras is a talent under the radar, and other than having the goodbye song in popular show "American Idol", Hollywood's Not America, he never got that much attention. The album has a few romantic tracks, Something About You, emotive ballad Take My Lips, and my personal favorite Soul Rock. The other tracks in the album are very personal and his song writing talent is exceptional. The title track Aliens & Rainbows and Liberation Day stood out immediately as they are a little different from the rest of the album. I truly enjoyed this album from beginning to end, it is one of the best pop records of the year.
