how brave to say Nintendo doesnt need 3rd party support when its sales are lacking, it needs all the support it can get

the truth is that the GP has caught on to Nintendo's poor quality of gaming, serving the same sequels every system, having a horrible online platform and never getting the games everyone talks about

they only have that niche base now which will deplete even more as consoles continue to die off in Japan

while Microsoft and Playstation will continue to grow as they continue to improve their 3rd party relationship

Nintendo has no third party support because 3rd party games get CRUSHED by Nintendo games in sales.

This is an indisputable fact. It has been true on EVERY Nintendo console. Wii sold gangbusters, and 3rd parties just couldn't make games good enough to compete with Nintendo.

Okay, then sell a version without the gamepad for $200 because that's really all the console is worth, at most. The gamepad is about as necessary as Kinect.

The Wii's controller scheme was innovative. The Wii U's controller scheme is clunky and unintuitive - a big deal breaker in combination with Nintendo's continued ignorance of online multiplayer. I wanted online multiplayer and a good controller this generation, so I steered away from the Wii U, it's as simple as that.

No Wii U owner would be pissed when they don't get Watch Dogs because no Wii U owner buys it for that type of game (although Watch Dogs is supposed to get a Wii U release, no?)

People buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games, no one gives two ***** about 3rd party games on Wii or Wii U. Obviously the Wii U has been very disappointing sales-wise, but that's only because Nintendo did not differentiate the Wii and Wii U enough. IF Nintendo had released a console as wildly different and fun as the Wii was at the time (or at least marketed it better), there would be no issue. So stop making it about 1st or 3rd party games, because that has nothing to do with it. At least the people who did actually buy the Wii U have fun games to enjoy

Wii-U has plenty of control options. Almost no games FORCE you to use the gamepad.

Beyond that the controls are identical to the Wii's.

We have another couple of products that we are waiting to launch, specifically we have one game that we wait for the machine to be more mass market to launch."

They are releasing some games, but the Wii U is simply not popular enough for all of them

I am getting both but the PS brand during its earlier eras had way more exclusives and quite a few first party titles. Not so much these days.

I don't think you've actually tried the gamepad if you want it removed. It's comfortable and Off-TV play >>>>

idk about this either there are many features in games and default software that use the gamepad. Some menus cant even be navigated without it.
