Some people here are just immature because they always jump to conclusions. Frankly, there's no need to change the forum name.

Why the **** has MTV gone from being a New York based/oriented channel to suddenly being a Los Angeles based/oriented channel? All the **** from "The Hills" to "Laguna Beach" and now this TRL replacement which shifts from New York to L.A.. I absolutely despise how teenagers today are so infatuated and obsessed with Los Angeles just because the media portrays it as "Glamorous" and "Hollywood". I lived in that stinking city for 5 years, and it's complete trash, especially the people who occupy it (Arrogant SOB's)
No wonder I don't watch that ****** network anymore. MTV became irrelevant once this decade began.

^ I went to LA on vacation and it gave me a greater appreciation for NYC. I have learned never to complain about traffic anymore since our traffic in NYC has nothing on LA. LA is basically like the bootleg NYC. It has everything NYC has but none of it is quite as good.

I don't feel sadness over the loss of TRL. I feel elated that that piece of **** is, finally, off the air. But, even still, I feel a twinge of nostalgia today. After all, without TRL, I would have never fallen in love with Korn, and I wouldn't be the fun-loving rocker that all of you know and...um...tolerate today!
More than anything, I feel pity when I think about MTV. I remember the 90's, when music *always* came first. I remember when new music videos were a ****ing *event*. Now, the MTV airwaves are filled with useless reality show drivel and shows aimed at teenagers that should make a 13 year old feel dumb. Now, the one link to the past that remained, as ****** of a link as it was, is gone.
RIP MTV, as you once were. Hopefully, someday, another music station will rise from the ashes of your remains and become what you used to be about.

LMAO at changing the forum's name. The admins and mods made it very clear on several occasions in the last few years that this site is not specifically about TRL anymore - And earlier this year, when the name ATRL came back, they said it had no connection with the TV show TRL.

Everyone knows this site hardly associates with TRL, so I don't understand why everyone wants to change the name.
