yeah it sticks out a bit like a sore thumb because it is not as poppy as the rest. I guess they wanted to lure everyone in pretending to still be alt rock when the album is actually more pop than punk
you say that like it's a bad thing, I think their evolution throughout the years is amazing. if they had repeated themselves and cloned any of their albums, people would have complained and it would have worried me. standing still is never a good sign for a musician. they took their signature sound which is dramatic, theatralic pop/rock with great melodies and developed it over the years, as they themselves became more mature and grown up as well. I love how they experimented more with electronics yet there's still a certain punch to their music as well. and I think it's amazing how their albums are never too long, some may think they are too short but actually think they always end the songs just at the right moment to leave you wanting more instead of stretching them out just for the sake of having a longer album
and the only album which really out stays it's welcome is AFYCSO 
I genuinely hate that album bar 2 songs. PO though 
the detention was SO worth it
