The problem with PRISM is that her supposed ballads and slower songs are overproduced, so hearing them with laid back instrumentals that focuses on the vocals makes them sound MUCH better. I hope if she decides to add as many ballads on her next album that they sound like this.

BTGOG is like a crime to humanity though. They managed to make a heartfelt and amazing song into an autotuned mess. Just because Katy is a Pop artist doesn't mean she needs to have autotune and synths in all of her songs

The verses sound very natural though! Isn't it just the chorus that is auto tuned? BTGOG is the only song on the record that doesn't sound natural

Yes, she fares way better without all the overproduced stuff.

I fell in love with Katy cause of her voice, and to be honest, I prefer the simplicity in some of her music like NLTM, I'm Still Breathing, Lost, etc. and was so mad with how BTGOG turned out compared to the iTunes festival performance.

People always drag her voice but she's actually pretty good. Can get pitchy when she is doing a whole lot of stuff but she has a very beautiful, husky tone and her voice soars on ballads. I really like it.
