my mom only listens to christian music so the only pop culture she knows she hears from people at her work and from me she refuses to listen to anything tho cause she thinks it's all trash so i dont really know her opinion on anything

my dad only listens to rock but he randomly stans for The Sweet Escape by Gwen and I'm Real by JLo he doesnt care about pop culture either but every now and then he'll ask me if ive heard *insert random song/artist* or he'll hear a pop song he likes somewhere and try to explain to me how it goes and asks me if i know the name of it

even my grandmother is more familiar with pop culture than my parents are she at least watches American Idol/DWTS so she's familiar with the artists that perform on there

She is the biggest Jlo stan. It's embarrassing. She owns all ha albums and she said we are going to see Home because Jlo and RIH are in it. She goes to the premieres of every jlo movie too

My mum is a big Madonna stan and she had bought all her albums up to Hard Candy. When MDNA was coming out she didn't have a clue so I bought it for her and she said "thank you, now I'll have something to listen to while I clean the house". That weekend I went camping and when I came back the CD was in the trash. I pretended I didn't see it and I asked her, "so which song you liked the most?" and she answered me with one of the most serious tones she's ever spoke to me "is 2016 accurate enough to expect the next album?"
