And your point is? Where does it say "Best known people in Music"? Since the irrelevant chick wrote one of your fave's biggest hits, she is relevant somehow. But, seeing how she does that for half of the industry, she's definitely one of the most important people in music right now.
You do realize each one of these people is slaying their respective fields?
Check Spotify and check Avicii's streams for instance. Sia is the most in demand writer and getting praise. Pharrell... Nothing more has to be said. And Kendrick is looked at as "the future of Hip-Hop" by many legends in the game. Stay bitter and upset. It's obvious.

What makes any of your basic faves not listed important in music?
All of the artists listed have made great strides for themselves and their respected genre, the typical pop star hasn't questioned their position in popular culture, or challenged the dominant social structures in their life. Not in the way Bey has anyway. Most of the "current pop stars" are what the music industry WANTS them to be. They often don't break the mold in any way shape or for them to be one of the most important persons in music.
Time to stop fixating yaselves on how the sales of a mediocre single is doing and start recognizing their actual self worth in the music industry.
