You shouldn't be talking about lead singles when Can't Remember couldn't even outsell Your Body.
The same old excuses with Say Something, the song was first released on February 8, 2011, why didn't it take off until 2013? BYE!

Its a known fact that CRTFY outsold Your Body WW. I dont know about the US, but there are probabilities that it outsold it there as well.
Empire charted better than Just A Fool in the US as well
The album is on its way to outsell Lotus in the US
And people cares to watch her music videos on VEVO ![:)](http://www.atrl.net/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Well Christina gave a unknown Indie band a
top 10 hit around the world. ![Nicole 2](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/atrlers/nicole2_zps16a99864.gif)
Shakira feature one of the world's biggest
Pop Girls (Rihanna) on her lead single and it
was deemed a Flop..
The stats dont lie and they clearly show
the only correct answer is Christina
The heavily promoted "Empire" will back up the stats aswell

Plus read my comment above, Shakira's single may have debuted higher, but X outsold her in sales. A streaming mess.

Who read your palm and told you lies? Raven-Symoné?
It's sold 545k so far.

It wasnt deemed a flop. It underperformed in the US and that was pretty much it, as it was a hit around the world. The heavily promoted Empire did better than the heavily promoted "Just A Fool" as well
Christina`s relevancy on VEVO:
2 #VEVOcertifieds as a lead (counting Say Something) and 2 #VEVOcertifieds as a featured = 4
Lady Marmalade is about to be her 5th
Shakira`s relevancy on VEVO:
10 #VEVOcertifieds as a lead. Beautiful Liar and La La La will soon be her 11th and 12th #VEVOcertifieds
She is tied with Lady Gaga as the 3rd female with the most #VEVOcertifieds ever, only behind Rihanna and Katy Perry ![:)](http://www.atrl.net/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/smile.gif)

nnn at the Vevo freak bumping this, they are probably about the same level of irrelevancy to be honest.
It's absolutely hilarious to see Shakira stans acting like the girl is experiencing success a la Pink or Beyoncé. She is miserably failing, she had a lead single with the REAL most global female act at the moment and yet it underperformed even though she has had exposure all around the world (as her stans claim) thanks to The Voice. Then it came the massive flop Empire, but she quickly clung to the WC as usual and released her third single, that is underperforming as well despise having massive promo. Her album has barely crossed the 500K mark after 9 weeks and with massive international promotion. She is not the most global female act, not even top 10. Some irrelevant European and Latin American countries that add no more than 50K to her total sales don't make her global when she miserably fails to get success in relevant music markets. Stop the delusion!
Also, who the **** cares about VEVO stats?

-I never said she is experiencing success a la Pink or Beyoncè.
-She isnt miserably failing, she is having decent longevity.
-The massive flop Empire is doing pretty good when compared to Xtina`s singles.
-Dead at Dare´s massive promo when it wasnt performed a single time, and its still doing as good as most Xtina`s releases despite the fact that she didnt perform it
-Never said she is the most global act because that is Rihanna and Katy Perry at the moment
-She miserably fails in relevant music markets yet achieves more success than Xtina, which is the point of the thread
Oh, and her tours are in fact global and successful, something Christina hasnt experienced since 2006
And record labels sure care about VEVO stats, as it gives them money. It is also a good indicator of Worldwide relevancy, since we know a lot of countries dont buy singles but stream instead ![Sistrens](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/random/mskt8j_zpsfb323382.gif)

Just A Fool sold over 500K just in the U.S. without a video,
No radio adds and one performance on The Voice
Empire has radio, a video and MULTIPLE promo slots
Voice, Billboard Awards, iHeart awards and GMA
And still not a success ![toofunny3](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRL_Smilies_All/faces/toofunny3_zps08814413.gif)

So now struggling to surpass the 500K mark worldwide is called decent longevity? Good news to Bionic then. ![rofl](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/b51cb370.gif) And I am not arguing about her having slightly better numbers than Xtina despide promoting worldwide and shamelessly clinging to the WC, but the fact that you all act like it's something to be proud of is so hilarious. Wasn't it clear? Maybe your reading comprehension skills are the ones to blame. Televised performances aren't the only shape of promo, you should educate yourself on marketing and publicity strategies, the girl clung to the WC, what more promo do you need?
Oh, really? How unfortunate people from those countries buy and stream Pink, Beyoncé, Katy, Rihanna, etc singles yet they don't do the same with Shakira. Too much about her worldwide relevancy.
There's a reason why I said they are about the same level of irrelevancy, since there's not much difference so I won't waste more time arguing with a deluded stan.
Adiós.

Yeah, except "Shakira" is having more longevity on charts than "Bionic". And since you are considering the World Cup promo, what about waiting until it actually starts?
And those countries that dont buy singles: they dont buy singles from any of those artists either, they mostly stream. As i said, streaming gets the label money and is a good sign of relevancy. And there is a difference of WW relevancy, since Shakira gets tons of streaming, her songs do better than Xtina, her albums do better than Xtina, and her tours exist. But i agree, you need to stop trying.
Adios ![:)](http://www.atrl.net/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/smile.gif)

And if anyone has a doubt about labels caring about VEVO:
http://atrl.net/forums/showthread.php?t=124233
It says a video with 100 Million views earns $700K. Half of that goes to publishers, and out of the $350K left, the label takes around $70K and the $280K left go to the artist.
Shakira got 199 Million streams in the past month, so that makes $560K for her and $140K for the label
She is getting her label much more money than Xtina (if she gets her label any money at all), and people has enough interest to go and stream her videos. On top of that, they buy her singles more than Xtina and they buy her albums more than Xtina. And they also attend her tours, which actually happen ![;)](http://www.atrl.net/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/wink.gif)
