Because she can. Things don't work as 'oh, movie stars only.' Big name stars attend big industry events. They all know each other, mostly. Regardless of what Atrl says, Gaga isn't actually a C-List star. Gaga attended because she was invited and because she could. That is one perk to being a high profile celebrity.
