It is respectable indeed. But are we forgetting that there have been many releases from Shakira that did not hit top ten since her last in 2007 with Beyonce? You're saying this like she has four more chances to match Beyonce (as if it is even a competition) when there have been many singles before CRTFY that already haven't hit that spot. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, I'm just using your standards.
And I'm sorry if you think the Hive are putting down this song just because Rihanna is in it. Knowing some people, I'm sure they are. But it doesn't automatically mean that every Hive member's opinion is biased like that. It's pretty obvious from the overall lukewarm response to the song that it's not a bonafide hit. As well as it being obvious from it's respectable chart position that it's not some flop.
