I'm not sure about Spotify as I haven't tried it.
What I posted works for iTunes though. Basically all you're doing is deleteing your scrobbles but when you reset it they'll all load back with more accuracy.
Last.fm counter caches reset every 24 hours and sometimes it glitches and sticks. You gotta wait another 24 hours for it to reset again and go back to normal.
I'm so obsessed with my last.fm plays it's not even funny.
I love watching them update and change over time and when I really get into artists watching them jump from like #300 to #20 in my overall most played. It's probably weird to be so chart obsessed especially when it's literally just my own stats.
