So awkward at 3:06 when she forgets to finish lip-synching the note. It threw her off for the rest of the performance. But it was decent overall—just not quite big enough to open the show.
Lackluster. Not that a middling little number like this one really lends itself to massive spectacle, but I think a show-opening performance should offer something in way of entertainment, don't you?
I really enjoyed it. People call it boring but Bey just set the bar too high for herself. Superbowl proved what she can do and she was clearly very nervous about this so I'm not too mad at it being simple. I still got life from it.
I am a big fan of XO but since she decided to do DIL this is EXACTLY what I wanted her to do and she delivered. Come on now what did you expect? Congrats Bey
I saw what she was trying to do but it don't work, vocals were messy and not lipsynced correctly. I hope she sticks to these rihannaesque performances and comes back harder next time. All she needed was better stage direction tbh.
What more did you expect for her to do when performing Drunk In Love? Y'all seen the video so you should have known what to expect. Drunk In Love is a mellow song so you aren't going to get over the top choreography. I thought the performance was decent, sensual and sexy for the song.
There will be more performances of this song as well as others, this era is just beginning and she'll be performing more on upcoming award shows. You'll be slayed & getcha life.
