TRUE!! they have the most depressing lineage(to the point that Sansa has to marry that Harrold guy to even get the arryn claim) and their current status is but one (soon to die) child with the last name Arryn!

I never thought about that. I always thought his plan will be pointless once Dany shows up and if Jon is really who he is.

I think it's genius. It's now only predictable because we put two and two together.
Hopefully GRRM will still go with it. I'm afraid he might change it to surprise us.

I honestly think that the legit fear of that is part of the reason GRRM divulged key plot points to the showrunners already. If it was just a matter of worrying about the show outpacing the books, he could have waited another season or 2 to assess the situation before spreading out plot details to make sure he's not the only one that knows them.

Qyburn, apparantly, made somekind of frankenstein's monster in his dungeons out of Mountain's corpse, and named him Robert Strong who's gonna defend Cercei in his trial!

and Varys kills Maester Pycelle and Kevan Lannister in the epilogue.. well truely his little birds do the killing(which turn out to be little children)

am i the only one who isnt scared even a lil bit that he'll die before finishing the books?

i mean sure there's every chance he could die tomorrow, but i think barring some accident or sudden occurence, there's no such fear for me!

All he needs is some kind of illness like Robert Jordan had which leaves him with a 2-3 year life expectancy, and then, based on how LONG he takes to release EVERYTHING, that would pretty much seal the deal. We'd be screwed. UNLESS that would finally give him the motivation to sit down and WRITE and get it done.

I don't think the book is coming out this year.
And don't fear George dying. He'll outlive us all. But in case that doesn't happen, he has a huge team that help him with the writing and the research.
