Excuse me? Lindsay Lohan's highest peaking single on the Hot 100 was Confessions Of A Broken Heart (#57). And that's her only single to enter the chart. Hilary has had 5 Hot 100 entries, 3 Hot Dance Club Play entries (out of these 2 were #1s) and 5 Pop 100 entries.

Hilary's debut album Metamorphosis sold 5 million copies worldwide. Speak sold 2 million.
And uhm Lindsay got DROPPED. Hilary didn't.

As for the promotion part, I confirmed that Lindsay performed Confessions of A Broken Heart more than once (at 1. TRL, 2. American Music Awards). Lindsay's album didn't have a proper second single.
