a select few believe that backwards ass philosophy, but 90% of the time, it isn't a life-threatening situation. So no, it's not acceptable for a man to hit a woman; this is also true for the opposite, it unacceptable for a woman to hit a man.
Just because I don't have a penis doesn't make me any more fragile, nor does it create some sort of obligation to men to treat me any differently than they would treat a man.
