Anyways, I need this album to not sink any lower, it doesn't deserve a lower score, but critics love using Britney as a scapegoat to make themselves look smarter so I wouldn't be surprised if it does
Sis, what? Brit is revered by the critics, especially if FF is as bad you everyone here seems to believe, seeing as it scored over ten points higher than BJ is scoring now.
Acting like the critics are biased against Britney is pretty big of a stretch.
Most of the bad reviews were aimed at her personal life and not the music itself...
Unfortunately, that's what critics do now. They did the same with ARTPOP. They were critiquing Gaga instead of the music. They're doing the same with Brit
I mean, it's her weakest album to me, but it's still pretty good besides Chillin' With You and a little bit of It Should Be Easy. But then again, there are a few songs that are nice but just kinda bland. She still deserves a better score, though.. but hopefully this will let her know that if she's gonna keep making music, she has to give us the goods and not a mixed bag.
"I'm gonna mark my territory," sings the once-imperious Spears on Perfume, the most recent cut from album number eight. Trouble is, there isn't anything on Britney Jean that wipes the floor with Katy Perry, Lady Gaga or Miley Cyrus, the pretenders now remodelling the pop firmament neglected by Spears. The dead hand and cheesy rave stabs of will.i.am dominate this record, even though he produced only a couple of tracks.
But hey, I'd definitely rate it lower than 5/10 myself. Disappointing beyond belief.
I could barely finish listening to tracks without fast forwarding them.

Honestly, I am stunned by the score, yet the album is so bad and it deserves it. EDM music is 2000 and late. The only great songs are Perfume and Alien.
Yeap the album is prettty bad, but i agree with people who say music reviewers should leave artist's personal life aside when they review albums.
The same thing happens my fave too. Like in every other review, they say she's almost 30 but making these kind of songs... Does her age really matter? I feel like they might have gave 80 points to the album if she was 18, but they gave it 20 because she's 30 now.
Damn, she's really getting dragged hard.
