-Gwen which album did a moderate sucess during the end of 2004[very the end]
-Jessica Simpson did good at the beginging of the year of after newlyweds her career was dead
-Avril Lavigne that released her second album....but thats it there was not huge hitlike complicated ,with you or ska8er boi were
-Britney that released a GH collection which singles Toxic , Everytime and My pregorative hits the charts all over the world but after the june injure she drop the promotion of any time
-Ashlee simpson... which career was killed by herself after 2 hits on the states ....
-Shania twain... well zzz.zzz...zzzz
So none of the princess were like the one , so which song had the "impact" on the pop culture...well Toxic has been covered for zillion of bands all over the world since its release and also was the only song by a female nominated to a video music award video of the year that year...

all i know is that Shakira ruled the world in 2001 and 2006. Whenever, Wherever was huge around the world pushing shakira to become the most successful Latin singer of all time and making here a top 5 most successful female artist. then in 2006 Hips Don't Lie would go down in history as the most important song of this millenium breaking almost every record possible. Laundry Service was one of the fastest selling CD's in the US that year and around the world. Shakira IMO should get either 2001 or 2006 as her year. Just Saying though lol.

Well I'm agree that Shakira is a sucessfull singer, I love Laundry Service, is one of my favorite CDs but I just give her the year when she release Wherever, Whenever, it was her big hit. She can be the 2001 queen.
