Why the hell do you keep assuming that Within Temptation and Evanescence are "pretty darn identical" when you haven't heard ANYTHING from WT other than "What Have You Done", it seems like? Seriously, listen to some more of their songs before you go and assume like that.

Obviously the new sing, What Have You Done, is new than Bring Me to Life. It's from their album that just came out this past March in Europe, and comes out July 24th in the States. I was saying that Within Temptation the band have been around longer than Evanescence the band. =]

^You are right on the single being new (means it was written and recorded recently for this upcoming album not from their old ones) but WT and Ev were (officially) formed just 2 years apart which is not long of a period, both released their first recordings (WT//Enter (1997)and Ev//Evanescence EP (1998) just a year a part.

However, their history goes back, before, Sharon and Robert (WT) were part of band called Voyage and The Circle until 1996 when they formed Within Temptation, while Ben and Amy (Ev) met in 1994 and began writing songs but were not a band yet until 1998 when they officially formed Evanescence. WT released their first major album (Mother Earth) in 2000 and Ev released their first-full length demo (Origin) in 2000. And from then on they found their own success.

Evanescence and Within Temptation are different bands, although both bands have classical and metal/rock influence but they create different sounds.

Ah. I've grown to love the Korn song, but yes, it is a weak release compared to "Twisted Transistor" and "Here to Stay". Nothing else on the album would have worked for a lead single. The next one will be better, and will hopefully do better.

I want to hear "Empty Walls" so badly. "The Unthinking Majority" was just insanity personified. I also want to hear that Vedder song. Can't seem to find it anywhere, though.

I love "Silver Lining" and the "Holy Diver" cover, as well as "Tick Tick Boom". With all hope, that's the song that officially makes The Hives super duper stars.
