22. The Game - Let's Ride (Strip Club)
- For me, it's hit or miss with this asshole. How We Do, Dreams and One Blood never really did much to me but the rest of his singles are amazing including this one. The beat reminds me of something else, I can't exactly remember what but it feels like I've heard this song before. Anyway I love it because it's great to play at high volume, smoking a cigarette in the night. Last year he was #7 with Hate it or Love it but for now he's gonna have to settle for #22.

21. Keyshia Cole - Love
- What an ugly *****! But it doesn't matter since she sure knows how to make excellent music. Admittedly, this song was extremely blah at first listen, but after a few listens I grew to love it. This song is about losing the one you love to someone else (I sure relate to a lot of songs this year, don't I? ) and her voice is soo powerful, you can actually feel her pain. One might think the overdone chorus will substract greatness from the song, but surprisingly it only make it better. If you consider yourself a fan of r&b at all and if you haven't checked this out already, do it NOW.

20. Cassie - Me & U
- We all know this tramp couldn't sing or dance if her life depended on it but you gotta give credit to Ryan Leslie for doing such an excellent job producing her album. This song here leaked onto the internet around October 2005 and became a club hit even before it got released officially. Then in the summer of 2006 she released it officially and it did great, peaking at #3 on the Hot 100. It instantly became a summer hit making everyone tap their feet and nod their heads to the infectious beat. Sadly, I think this was her career high as her 2nd single flopped miserably and i have a feeling the next singles will too.

19. 311 - Frolic Room
- They also had #19 on 2003 with Creatures (For a While). I'm not a big fan of rock music, but this band is probably my favorite rock band ever (no, maybe 2nd, favorite is Garbage!). This song is such a cool, laid back tune, perfect for listening before you go to a party. It has a college vibe to it and I used to play it everyday on the way to school. They should've made a video for this, ohh and they should've released Solar Flare next. Ohh well, can't have everything in life.

18. Marques Houston - Favorite Girl
- DID YOU KNOW MARQUES IS HALF MEXICAN?! OMG maybe that's why he's soooo hot. He's got the best body in the music industry and just looking at such hotness is enough to make me happy for the entire day. Anyway i'm not here for a hormone race, I'm here to talk about how awesome this song is. Sure, it might not have the most original lyrics but this midtempo r&b gem is extremely enjoyable. His voice is top notch in it. It might not appeal to you at first, but you have to let it grow on you so you can appreciate its greatness in full.

17. Ne-Yo - When You're Mad
- No doubt about it: this was Ne-Yo's year. In a time where male r&b vocalists seemed to have no success anymore, Ne-Yo had 3 top 10 singles in one year even though his first single "Stay" from 2005 didn't exactly do much damage. When You're Mad was the song that stood out the most for me. It has a summery feel to it, makes you want to get up and dance and sing along to everytime it's played. Hopefully he survives the sophomore slump when he releases his 2nd album, because he sure has a lot of talent that shouldn't go to waste.

16. Fort Minor ft Holly Brook - Where'd You Go?
- Who would've ever thought something good would ever come out of Linkin Park, one of the shittiest artists in the music business these days. I think what makes Linkin Park ****** is that other guy, Chester or something, because Mike's Fort Minor created one of the best albums I've ever heard, with gems like Right Now, Cigarettes and In Stereo. The reason I picked this is because of all the memories it brings. It reminds me of a time where I had a lot going on in my life, and everytime i play this song i'm reminded that life is good, even though this song talks about the exact opposite.

15. Nelly Furtado - Say it Right
- Nelly Furtado has been one of my favorite artists ever since she released I'm Like a Bird in 2001. **** on The Radio is one of my favorite songs of all time and Whoa Nelly was an excellent album, then came Folklore which sucked honestly. And now, this **** releases Loose and 5 succesful singles around the world, including this. Say it Right was my favorite ever since I heard Loose, and it still is. I'm dissapointed at the video because, even though it's good, it had potential to be the coolest video of all time. 2006 was without a doubt Nelly's year, and I cannot wait to see what she'll put out next.

14. Anna Nalick - In The Rough
- It's no secret that my life used to revolve around love. This song is very special to me because it gave me a lot of hope at the beginning of the year when love was nowhere to be found. It did surprisingly well on my ****down, breaking the record for most consecutive days at #1 with 12 days (previous record was Green Day - American Idiot with 11). It's such a shame that Anna isn't getting the recognition she deserves because Wreck of The Day is such an awesome but overlooked album. Oh well, americans

13. Busta Rhymes ft Swizz Beats - New York ****
- I was never much of a Busta fan, but this summer I had a few bucks to spare and decided to buy The Big Bang. Best decision I've ever made. It turned out to be one of my favorite albums of all time, and New York **** was one of the standout tracks. Later it became a single and I was thrilled about it. It's a great song to blast on your stereo and it has the power to put you in a good mood everytime you listen to it.

12. Nelly Furtado ft Timbaland - Promiscuous
- Tigger is a nazi but he's right: In 2 decades, people won't remember Say it Right or Maneater. It's this masterpiece everyone will remember centuries from now. That beat is quite possibly the catchiest thing Timbaland has ever done. It spent 7 (or was it 6?) weeks at #1 on the hot 100 and i think the amazing video contributed to its success. It's simple but perfect for the song, Justin cameo, and that delicious dude? oh lord! just perfect.
