I can see why Monsters & BeyHive members are threatened tho  Rihanna is Gaga's biggest competition for contemporary Queen of Pop, and she's also the protege Jay-Z discovered that is now outperforming his own wife 
But it's all good. No need for raised tension tbh.

Umm at this moment no no no... I like rihanna and give credit where it is justly due. She will probally reach legendary status in the future but for right now not a legend in the least bit.
P.S.: Why does every time a female pop star has a thread people either are arguing, discrediting, or overestimating. Like damn!!!!!!!!!!

she just knows how to work the game. put out a lot of music, and something will stick, and people wont notice the flops. for example, right now is flopping right now, but she will put out an album in the fall, and release a lead single, and ppl will think she never flops.

Except the discussion isn't about whether or not Rihanna ever flops. Obviously not every single she releases smashes. She can put out as much music as she likes, but that doesn't mean that the GP has to co-sign it. The fact that she sometimes has flops doesn't negate the fact that the overwhelming majority of her singles are hits. I bet the same ones in this thread complaining about Ri's constant releases would be the first to attribute Gaga's tour schedule/gross to "massive demand."

Rihanna's albums are like the "Saw" movie franchise of pop. With "Saw," every Halloween a new film was released, and for quite some time they were guaranteed money-makers. However, by the 4th or 5th installment, they slowly started to make less and less money.
Rihanna is on her 4th year in a row of releasing new albums, and sales are steady but declining each year. (Unapologetic was no Loud, by any means. The same way that Saw 4 was no Saw 2.)
If she fails to take a break, the sales will falter more and more, but she's still got another 1-2 installments before that happens.

I wouldn't call her a legend just yet, that's a bit of a stretch, but I think her music is AMAZING!
She's dope, she's care-free, lives the way she wants to live it, she doesn't bite her tongue, and her music is always on point!
What's not to love?!
