They said the album will be R&B BASED. Doesn't mean there wont be pop songs on the album, just more R&B. Anyways, that source probably isn't true to begin with.
And the only songs Ciara confirmed were scrapped are BOH and GMG
People assume that because she said the only features on the album are Future (barf) and Nicki. I hope she just forgot about BOH. It sounded hot. And I would rather have a Rick feature than her man who always sounds a damn autotuned flat mess.
She was asked who was going to be on the album.. and she said only a duet with Future, and the Nicki song are the only collabs that made the cut.
That means either Rick Ross was taken off of BOH, or the song was removed completely. I don't see why she would take him off though so we're saying it's been scrapped.
Man i am stoked that the album will be majority r&b. I want the album to be cohesive as possible. The next album should build off the base of this album but expand the sound a lil more.
Overdose still has an R&B feel for how pop-based it is, just like how Rih's pop music is still mildly R&B.
I think that's why Ci's team is trying to re-gain the urban fans before they push a pop single, because even the
pop singles could do something on urban radio tbh, they just need that urban smash first.

She's suppose to be going on a world tour this year. I don't know if they will still do it though, now that OWA is mostly Urban.
And I wouldn't expect her to perform unknown songs at Club shows (most of what she's been doing lately).
I know about the tour. I just feel there should be a small tour before the album for more exposure, tour dates by themselves create buzz on radio and would probably give her singles a push(especially urban singles)... Most ciara fans doesn't even know she has a single out!
... But I mainly made that comment because personally enjoy seeing ciara perform and I want to see more performances ... I would die to see her live but she hasn't performed in my area since screamfest!
I agree. They need to set small, yet respectable goals for this era and then move on from it. Especially if 'OWA' is going to be a mostly urban LP.
They should be trying to score a top 5 hit on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts that at least charts in the top 30 of the Hot 100 and gets certified Gold, although platinum would obviously be better. Then try to score at least one more top 10 R&B/Hip-Hop hit, peaking in the top 40 of the Hot 100 and again being certified Gold. That's as far as singles go. As far as the album, try their best to get it to go Gold, but at least do 350k in sales. That'll be an impressive increase from 'BI' and 'FR'.
Drop a few dope videos, get her on a few award show stages, maybe score some nominations, and open for someone big on tour, maybe CB since his album is dropping this Summer. or maybe even tour with Kelly Rowland and Future since Kelly has records with future. If they can do all that, Ciara will be back in decent standings. Well, at least on the urban side of things. Lol!

girl, those people didn't buy tickets for those events just to see Ciara. Those are clubs people frequent every weekend and she just happened to be booked to perform. Lol!
